It seems like only last week that Dan and I got married. Remember, Remember the fifth, aye? Happy anniversary to us.

Quite honestly, through all of the struggle, this has been one of the most wonderful years in all of the wonderful years he's given me. I'm so lucky to have him. He is my best friend in the whole world, and always will be.

A lot of people say that they believe their relationship will last forever. But very few people understand how short forever is. Ours is especially short compared, yet we have coped and accepted what very well may happen. I think that this makes every moment we can spend together, every time I listen to him breathing next to me, every time he looks me in the eyes and understands what I need to say so special in my heart that there aren't words.

He is the greatest gift I have ever and will ever be given.
